| It's been what, almost 6 months since I last updated this? Xanga has gotten ridiculously fancy since then.
A lot has gone on since my last update, I guess. Some things have changed.
I go to college here now. I love it here. Being someplace where there's always something to do (especially the city) is amazing, and the environment is just incredible. The people here are awesome, too. The workload isn't too bad, either. I need to maintain a 3.2 for my scholarship, and a 3.5 to stay in the Honors Program. I think I can do it - we'll just have to wait and see, though. My roommate ... I have issues with her. We don't talk. That's all I'm going to say on that subject - that discussion isn't really meant to be as public as this, anyway.
I miss home. I miss everyone. I miss taking showers without flip-flops, and homemade food, and my cats (I'm a dork), and my own bed. Hell, I miss hearing my sisters argue sometimes. Being away really makes you thankful for what you have.
I'm not playing softball. I think I'm going through withdrawl. It's so odd knowing I don't have to run to practice, or that my shoulder isn't sore from throwing. Maybe next year? We'll have to see about that, too.
I was (am?) (un)fortunate enough to go through yet another one of those periods in which EVERYONE DIES AT ONCE and it somehow affects me. So, R.I.P. Officer Gregg, R.I.P. John, R.I.P. Mrs. B. Get well soon Chris, Tara, and Tony. R.I.P. Mick. I didn't know you four, but you were all with John ...
I'm still the same person ... at least I think that I am, anyway. I may not be the best judge on that one, though. I'm still a klutz, I still love food, I'm still a goofball, I'm still a cynic, yet optimistic at the worst possible times, and I still have giggling fits that last long after a funny event has ended. I might have grown a little and matured a bit, but I could just be kidding myself on that one, too.
I miss you all, and I love you all, and hopefully I will talk to you all very soon. Now, though, my Philosophy paper is calling me. Until next time ... |
